Dr. Pamela Munster from UCSF's Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center on March 2nd at 8 pm ET will give a presentation entitled Novel Strategies to Treat Prostate Cancer, discussing a non-invasive approach for active surveillance.
Munster is a breast cancer medical oncologist who runs the UCSF Center for BRCA Research. She is BRCA +ve herself as is one of her kids; and she has had a mastectomy and oophorectomy. Pamela lost her dad to pancreatic cancer and he carried a BRCA mutation.
She occasionally sees PCa men in the context of them carrying BRCA - we have sent a couple to her.
Pamela is on the AnCan Advisory Board.
