Howard, you have been really lucky since the very beginning of your personal PCa story in 2010 and having such a smart and nice wife who has always suported you in the past 14 years. Unfortunately, my PCa case (Gleason 3+4) is completely different because my wife has suffered from severe health problems for the last 4-5 years to take care about me and passed away last January.
Your story may not be the individual readers' story but matters NOT the least. Your brashness, obstinance, brilliance-not unlike your opposition to the Vietnam war, not only led to a platform for all establishing we are not alone-each with his own unique challenge-but continues to show that fine science and a few incredibly brave souls do exist. No, you owe no one deference as result of your luck of the draw. Your blog brings hope, founded in science, to those who otherwise live in fear; that hope from both sides of the aisle.
