What's with all the emphasis on repeatedly referring to Mrs. Biden as "Dr. Jill" as though she should have been on top of this because there was "a doctor in the house"?

Jill Biden is not a physician. She has PhD in education.

It is entirely possible that Biden’s situation is possible because that’s what happened to me. I monitored my PSA for 20 years as it went up and down. Five biopsies showed nothing during that timeframe. Then in 2022 at age 69, it went up and up and my Gleason scores were 9s and 10s across the board. It really can happen. And now I’m being cared for by Dr. Daniel Spratt, thanks to your substack and Dr. Holden’s writing.

What is it with this obsession if Biden has/had cancer for not and, seriously even worse, did his wife know or not, well she must have known because she's 'obviously' so ambitious...!

I leave it at that, this article though by Dennis Byrne is pretty mediocre.

Thanks for your comment. I think the Biden "obsession" is important because--for better or worse--it puts the prostate cancer issue into the national and international discussion. It increases public awareness of various aspects of the disease. It gets more people in to be screened. Politics and conspiracy theories are unfortunately inevitable in the current envonment. Here is a comment from a physician who wanted to be anonymous:

Howard,

I'm not publicly commenting because people have gone crazy and will attack you if you have an opinion or message about anything political. There has been nothing but pure speculation about Biden's diagnosis, some of which are downright conspiracy theories until proven otherwise.

I had a patient in my internal medicine practice complaining of blood in his ejaculate. I referred him to the urologist, who performed a digital rectal exam (DRE), which he felt was normal, reassured him that hematospermia can be benign, and sent him on his way without checking a PSA due to his young age. He didn't have a family history of prostate cancer and was Caucasian.

I didn't hear back from the patient until he showed up in my office the following November with rib pain. He was then diagnosed with Gleason 9 prostate cancer with bone mets and died about 14 months later despite aggressive treatment.

Yes, Gleason 9 prostate cancer can "come out of nowhere." Every physician who treats prostate cancer knows that bone mets can be asymptomatic, especially when early.

It was reported that Biden was having urinary symptoms, and that is why a digital rectal exam was performed, finding the nodule.

"Biden was having increasing urinary symptoms and was seen last week by doctors who found a prostate nodule." https://www.pbs.org/newshour/health/what-to-know-about-bidens-prostate-cancer-diagnosis

There is much misinformation, accusations, and insinuations about a man who served our country for nearly 50 years. It's disrespectful.
