AnCan noticed the very same trend and independently prepared similar numbrs for our recent meetings in DC. When I mentioned them to Mike Crosby, he sent me the graph above.

Couple of points of fact:

1) The VPCa pink line for BCa only reflect women - the graph should be adjusted to add men diagnosed. There will be an ACS estimated 2,700 (1%) men with 500+ deaths estimated for 2022.

2) AnCan has long campaigned for PCa DoD funding to match that given to BCa. Right now BCa gets $160 million, around $40 million more than PCa.

@RichardMaye - be assured we have placed emtional awarenesss squarely on the AUA agenda. There will be an upcoming webinar focused on practitioners that was already in the works. In addtion we have issued a call to action to establish a mental health guidelines committee.

Well put! Just as disturbing to me is the the lack of attention by oncologist and urologists to the emotional wellness of women and men that are diagnosed with breast and prostate cancer. Richard
